Arts Award supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders. What does that mean for you?
Doing an Arts Award – at any level – develops your arts knowledge, introducing you to art forms and careers you might not otherwise come across.
You may get inspired by a particular arts activity and decide you want to study it for GCSE or your degree.
At Silver and Gold level you get experience of leading teams and running projects. This builds your confidence and communication skills.
Arts Awards at Explore level and above count as qualifications which can help you get into further education and training or find a job. Gold Arts Award carries 35 UCAS points which can top up your uni application.
Arts Award is a great first step into a career in the arts as it offers you hands-on experience and a chance to work with professionals and make contacts.
On top of this, doing an Arts Award is great fun – a chance to meet people, try new activities and explore any aspect of the arts world.
